Balloon Launch System (a.k.a. BLS) is our answer to standard rocket launches. BLS is compact, efficient, and best of all, incredibly inexpensive. Due to its simplicty and reusability, BLS offers the possibility of orbital insertion at incredibly low costs.
BLS is comprised of three main parts. First is the balloon array which provides a smooth ride to the upper atmosphere. Next is the launch platform and rocket. Once BLS reaches the desired launch conditions, your payload will launch on top of a small rocket. Last is the instrument module. This is where the flight computer and sensors are stored. Once BLS executes the launch, the instrument module detaches and glides safely back to earth.
